Bethlehem, PA — September 3, 2025 — Emmy Award–winning journalist and author José Martínez will celebrate the launch of his debut book, Your English is Great, But… A Life Between Languages, Cities, and Grief, with a special community event at the historic Moravian Book Shop in Bethlehem on Saturday, September 13, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
The event will feature a conversation moderated by Martínez’s colleagues and friends from 69 News, Jaciel Cordoba and Hernan Morissi, followed by a book signing and community gathering.
“I admire Jaciel and Hernan, I’ve learned from them, and I love them. To have them lead this conversation is something I’ll always appreciate,” said Martínez. “We’ve shared the newsroom and the responsibility of telling our community’s stories. Now, with their support, I finally get to share mine.”
The program will begin with guest arrivals at 11:30 AM, followed by a 20–30 minute conversation and Q&A beginning at 11:50 AM in the Green Room at Moravian Book Shop. Attendees will then have the opportunity to purchase signed copies of the book and enjoy refreshments.
Your English is Great, But… is an intimate reflection on language, identity, and belonging, weaving together Martínez’s experiences as a bilingual journalist, immigrant, and storyteller.
